Ok so with the help of MadPogue I traced my non working gauges/clock/wipers to the ignition switch?
if I wiggle the key switch it everything works. So is my switch going bad?

It could be going bad, it could be the actual switch is out of adjustment, or the actuator (the pot metal rod that connects the key to the electrical switch at the bottom of the column under the dash) could be broken or need lubed. We had the problem on an 85 E-150 van where the actuator would stick, and you would have to wiggle the key to get the switch to "seat" in the run position.

Very common problem. Replace the switch mounted on top of the column under the dash and lube the upper part where the key goes in.
