E4OD to ZF5 swap info (2wd)

I know a LOT of people have sone this swap, but I can't find a tech article for it. Any body have one? I have a complete parts truck, so I think everything I need is there. Will my E4OD driveshaft work?

My parts truck is missing the steering column. Can I remove the lever from my column and put the 5-pseed column covers on? Or should I just find a column?

I don't believe your E4OD driveshaft will work. Yes, you can remove the lever, I just pulled the lever out and left that boot in there.

Actually I'd be surprised if the driveshaft DIDN'T work. With all the conversions I've done, it seems that Ford put a stake in the yard, right where the driveshaft and trans meet. Someone said "Three shall be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shall be three" or at least "From here shall the power go forward, and from here shall the power go backwards."
