E4OD input shaft oring

Can the green Teflon seal in the front of the input shaft be replaced with an oring the same size? It's a tiny bit bigger, but I don't know how collapsed the Teflon ring is either. Ford is a week out so get the rings, I have an oring thy fits and want to get this tranny back in the truck. Any advice?

Green Teflon seal is on the pump. Input shaft has no seals. This is the converter lock up seal. It has to be Teflon otherwise it will fail. You can get it at any Ford dealer or a tranny shop could hook you up.
