Hi , I've swaped out a 4x4 e4od for my truck . I bought a rebuild on ebayebay My truck is an 88 that had a 90 E40d in it . Now I've put this 92 E40d in .
The small electrical box on the the of the tranny where the shift linkage goes it different . Well at least the wire harness end is . The old box is black , the new box off the bebuilt tranny is white . Also , on the old tranny , the linkange arm off the tranny is actually built into the tranny , and is behind the black electrical box . . . . On the new tranny thew tan box is mounted , then the arm and this arm is removable . The arms are different sizes , and the new arm has a male end (I need female), and is a different size . I think it might work...but its a male end , and it needs to be a female end . So is there some kind of part I can find to attach 2 female ends ?
Should I swap these boxes?
Whats the best thing to do to connect these linkages ?
Ive inlcuded a pic of the 2 different boxes , to the male linkages on my install , and the linkage on the old tranny to show the diffarance .
