E40D no drive gear

E40D took a crap. Lost all drive gears have just reverse. Just looking for ideas....

Forward clutch could have failed, or loose feedbolts.

Did a lot of research last night and came up with the same thing. Found a local guy that does a good job for a decent price.

OH OH, there goes my...........! Bring it over, I've got a whole rebuild kit with all the updates and special tools to do it, even have an extra E4OD down at the garage, needs rebuilt tho. Oh, and a Sonnax tugger kit.

Have you been towing heavy loads in OD. That could burn up the OD one way clutch, and as trackspeeder said Fwd clutch. Low fluid level can make them run real hot if there slipping.

Very minimal towing. Daily driver and a lil off road use. OD button is gone as PO broke top of shift lever off. Allways check fluid levels a couple times a week or Atleast every time I fill up. all fluids are allways close to topped off.

A new shift lever is $57 at the dealer, easy to change.

Haven't worked in all most three weeks. Really sucks. Wife is not getting disability pay from work cause of paper work error. Got enough to last another month.
