If you need a drive shaft measure from the center of the yoke on the transfer case to the center of the yoke on the rear diff. Is your drive shaft a 2 piece shaft?

There are some differences with different transmission and t-case options. But, single cab 4x4 F250's have very similar shaft lengths, but 1345 and 1356 have different outputs. 1345's have a u-joint yoke while 1356's have a splined slip yoke.

I'm just lazy and didn't want to lay in the mud measuring.

Its a one piece 1356 shaft and for some reason mine which was going to get new yokes has disappeared.

The local boneyard has some gassers that i could harvest from.

I'm not certain but I think a gasser will be built too light for our diesels. I could be wrong but please check it out before you buy something you can't use..

There's no difference in strength between a 460 and idi shaft. I'm more worried about the length.

If it is a 460 and is the same wheelbase and t-case...... it will be the same.

I've got a F350 460 shaft on my F250 right now.
