Was under the impression 97 was the only OBS year for a diesel + shortbed option (on HD F250's). Price is high for the rust?

They made a non-turbo in 94 and a short box? Cool truck but a little hard to believe.

I would say the price is high, though there looks to be little rust. Nonturbo, TTB, and plow truck duties do not warrant that price.

I don't know, thats a great combo of a truck and its easy to make ttb hold up to plow duties if you ask me. I would have liked to see what Dieselbrad would say about this one.

Something fishy about that truck...ECSBs were 96/97 only with a 460/PSD. Note that there is something under the F250 badge, i cant make it out though. Also it has a PSD style bumper on the front. But the bed has side molding trim after the rear tires so that rules out the bed being 96/7...

I know my 94 has a turbo diesel badge in the spot under the f250 badge but he claims its a non turbo unless the original motor went south and he put a non turbo back in it? Just guessing though.

Well I couldn't stand it, I had to call, and it sounds ilk a nice truck, There is some rust starting over the rear fenders, where he took off the chrome trim, but the rest is rust free. And it is a original Ex Cab Short Box, 5sp with a 7.3 non turbo IDI.

I would say it is well worth the 4K asking price.

my ttb held up to 300k miles of plow duties. Yeah it was wore completely out, but hey it still drove me all the way to west virginia to pick up a freshly rebuilt axle.

I still have my suspesion that its a real deal. Ford didnt make a ECSB or CCSB F250 until 1996. I wonder if it wasnt a conversion...id like to see the door data tag.

I have a feeling you're right about it being a conversion...the question is, how? Did he use an F-150 chassis, or did he swap an IDI into a '97, or what? Something seems fishy to me :dunno
