Towcat, did you say you had a couple of decent ones laying around?

dozer-
"the warden " just picked up the last decent DMF out of my inventory. Irregardless, most of the DMFs I have are candidates for the lucky conversion since all of them have roasted dampner springs.

hey Brady, appreciate you mentioning it.

Was it working fine when you pulled it?

I.e., no noises? No problems with clutch or shifting?

If so, I'd be real interested. Please direct-email me or call me.

hey Brady, just replied to your email.

by the way, the "reply to" address on your emails is missing the "y" in Brady, so anyone replying is having their mail bounced back...fyi...

Oops, sorry about that, I guess my hands can't keep up with my mind, but my mind can't keep up with my mouth. :D

In reply to the email;
I guess I meant rotational play. This one new had rotational play. I thought they were supposed to have some play even when new as the springs aren't long enough to take up all the slack. Maybe Mel or one of the other guys will chime in with what is right and what is acceptable play.

5/8-1/2" is acceptable. with 20k on it, you should not have issues whatever. UNLESS your IP was getting ready to take a crap and then the flywheel would be working overtime.
BTW, if dozer isn't interested....lets talk numbers.

thanks a lot Towcat. I'm tryin' to get a flywheel here... :D

Brady, did you have IP issues or much rough-running in that 20K miles?

thanks,

Richard

ps; In most email programs, the "reply to" address is entered just once, in the Setup window. So you might want to check Setup. Unless your program makes you enter it in every individual email ??

Let the bidding begin. :rotflmao

Just kidding.

I replaced my IP shortly before or after the new DMF was installed, I can't recall exactly when it was, but regardless it was the timing advance in it that failed, and it happened very fast, I didn't drive it that way for any extended amount of time like that.

Anything else? Blood samples of my first born? LOL LOL ;p

well, I was thinkin' maybe an arm and a leg....but then I remembered that I'd be sending those to you anyway.... :D

I'll send ya another email Brady....

Anyone know if LUK makes a kit that will work with the stock DMF ?

It'd be great to be able to use that nice multi-finger PP of theirs and their spring-loaded disc, with the stock DMF...

I just measured the rot. play with a tape measure and it come out to be 9/16" instead of the 1/2" that I eyeballed it at.
