With the recent digging up of the p pumped 6.9 again on Facebook I just find it completely fascinating and google can’t seem to bring up much so I’m wondering what y’all know about the hypermax idi build from the early 90’s

His grandson came to the forum not long ago and posted more pictures and some details. I messaged him if I could film an interview but he disappeared from the forum. He mentioned he wanted to bring the truck back to life.

Is that your build?
yes.
covid hurt me cash wise, so i had to stop the build.
sold the rotating assembly which was crower rodded.
but i still have the gear and the pump.
when i have time, ill make a mount for the pump.
i also have flanges for a intake/valley as the factory one wont work with a P7100

the engine you see is girdled, and decompression, but is going into my 63 ranchero with twin turbos

When that guy was on the forum, it got mentioned that the cylinder walls would actually flex out a bit.
