I mean, at least I'm good at something, even if it is bad luck
Except.... It's NOT the correct part.
This is the smaller 60 or 70 or whatever amperage alternator. The 130amp alternator has two vent holes here and is PHYSICALLY LARGER.
As you can see, both are clearly labeled as 334-22
I did finally remember to check my alternator today. It's supposed to be for a Taurus, what year/engine I don't remember. It does only have the two large holes, but it's physically smaller. The best that I could measure says that the alternator on my truck is about 8 1/2" between the bolt holes. The AC Delco is about 7" between the holes so it probably won't work either. So this means that I'd better check my AC Delco alternator

Sounds totally logical to me!!So I got home and did what anyone would do, I finished unbolting the power steering pump! Ok it actually does make sense...

It might be time to replace the replacement belts if it's been a few years.I need to do the belts on mine. I have had the new PS, alt, and vacuum pump belts behind the seat for several years. Just haven't gotten around to doing it yet.
