Did the 01' X not have a cat?

Ordered an aftermarket 4" exhaust for mine and when I went under the truck to eyeball the oem exhaust I couldn't find a cat - where they not available on 01' Excursions? Just wonderin'

My 02 F350 didn't have one.

No cat on the 01 excursions,F250,and F350 with the auto tranny.

Yep... Urban mining.... Idiots with sawzalls. zip zip and away they go with the cat.... and you have a big hole in the exhaust system. It was a problem awhile back, but now it seems to have kinda faded out. Not sure on the coasts though.

I think it has to do with the rare metals in cats - that or the resale value - the one on my a6 is like 2k from what I have understood...

You got it.... Not cheap to replace. I think the one on my Mustang is something like 1200 bucks.
