One of these day's I WILL have a turbo on my truck, I dunno when. I suppose when the right one pops up for then right price and I have the extra dough. But anyway I'm probably gonna start slowly gathering up everything I need to have the heads gone through new gaskets and studs that way when I get a turbo the engine will be ready... I already know that I want new guides, Possibly new valves, New springs, seals. Already have the 7.3 rockers on my engine. Minimal milling, just enough to clean em up. Probably wont change pushrods or lifters. I making a list of everything I'll need and want done.

Anybody else have any suggestion's on head work, Or anything else that comes to mind? Thought about a cam but I hate to evac my A/c to remove the condenser. Wonder if the increase would be worth it?

Well I think the first thing I may need to do is the ip, But once I'm able to take care of that I wanna start on this.

Really, that's news to me, I was only aware of Iconel valves myself...could be wrong though.....I was wrong once but don't quote me on that cause I could be wrong....

I just want it ready for turbo time, That way when I get one it can go right on. Probably be one of these deals where I end up with a rebuilt engine.

I don't know anything about hardened seats?? I'm guessing that's referring to the intake because ALL idi heads have stellite exhaust seats and they are replaceable. My stock 89 engine ran a Banks turbo for many years boosting to 13 lbs hauling heavy across this country. Never ever had a valve issue so. A stock set of 7.3 heads will handle the turbo heat easily. The turbo exhaust valves are nice to have being they are Inconel but try to find them and insure you actually bought them. The valves look the same as non turbo valves. A magnet wont help either. I tried this on my inconel and stock exhaust valves.
