Hi,

I am thinking about doing a cummins swap into an F350, I was wondering what year engines don't need an ecm or have a lot of electrical?
Also, how much horse power and torque would that engine have?

Thanks,

'88-'93 are mechanical. 160hp +415lbs
'94-'98.5 are also mechanical. 160-215hp
depending on the model year and trans.
The preferred choice is the '94-'98

yep any 12v is non electrical - as RF put it the 2nd gen are the ones that you want to get - p pumped... Much easier to mod to get more power.

What is the stock torque for the 215 hp engine?
How much power can you safely get out of this engine?
I pull a gooseneck trailer that normally would weigh around 10,000 lbs. so I don't want to melt it down with mods but I do want more power.
