Part of the problem may be that WMO is not a regulated fuel. Meaning, your WMO is most likely different than my WMO. Different weights, API ratings, content (what's in it). With my mix I hit 1200 every day on two hills I have to go over, and I could go way past that if I didn't take my foot out of it. That's with a stock pump and the timing advanced 2 degrees to 10.5. But it did the same at 8.5, so my experiment didn't help any.

I thought 1200* was the max the engine should stand. How much higher is it?

1250 is the recommend max, but most go lower since no pyro is 100% accurate.

My truck seems to run about 10 degrees hotter on WMO. Definitely gets hotter faster on WMO. Wheres a good place to get a pyro for a good price?
