Computers and IDIs

I know that IDI's where made until 93-1/2 - but did they ever have computers? Or are they all 100% mechanical?

only computers were for the cruise controll, and the E4OD (if it was so equipped).

Yes... Thats true both ways.... They are mechanically operated injection and the cpu was for the E4OD auto trans...

My IDI was made in 94.....just had to be that guy......

Yea the IDI was made through 94 and a half, 93 and half was when the turbo was introduced...

Yep, but remember, just because the 93.5-94.5 were offered with turbos, doesnt mean every one of them had one. I have a 94 block in the garage right now that didnt have a turbo on it.

my 94 is stock NA also....but not for long hopefully!!!

The turbo block serial numbers start at 1,116,331 and go up from there. What are the serial numbers for your 94 blocks... I'm just cuorius... I have been looking for a true turbo block for a build I'm working on.

my 94 is NA for now to....dont the IDI's have a computer for the speedo to? mine has a little black box for something and i dont have cruise or an auto.

No computer for the speedo, besides the instrument cluster. Your "little black box" is probably for delay wipers.
