Plug it in.
Some like to run 5w-40 synthetic.
I'm running a 15w-40 synthetic.
Make sure the glowplugs are good.
Carry a extra fuel filter, along with some anti-gel or diesel 911, just in case.

Know the condition of:

1) starter

2) batteries

3) glow plugs

4) glow plug relay

5) fuel additive (anti-gel)

You can wait a little longer after the WTS light goes out as the GPs are still energized. An LED light wired to the load side of the GPR can show you when the GPs are activated.

Block heater helps but is not necessary, I've started both my trucks to -20F without being plugged in. The key is having those 5 things listed in good working order when the cold weather hits.

In that case, you are forgiven. Just trying to raise the grammar bar on the OB site.:rolleyes:
You must be getting mellow. I fully expected a flipa. LOL

Grammar: The difference between knowing your ****, and knowing you're ****. LOL

To the OP, sorry for the hijack.
