Clueless

my budddy is looking at 93 silverado 6.2 being new to diesels (1 year young) and clueless on a chevy diesel just wanted to know commmon problems what to look for etc

anything will be helpful thanks

Excess smoke of all kinds is not a good thing, of course. Jury rigged wires all over the engine compartment, cracked exhaust manifolds, a heater that intermittently blows warm air then cold then warm again is not a good sign...
