C6 shifts without vacuum

pull the modulator and pin, apply vacuum and see if it is stuck. I guess the mod could be stuck, could be whatever that pin actuates in the valve body.

When I pulled the modulator out, there was no pin in it, or does it stay in the transmission? I sent my son to get a new modulator when we first discovered the problem and changing it made no difference.

It has been so long that I messed with a c6 that I don't remember for sure. I guess the pin could stay in the trans, but I remember it usually coming out with the modulator. No pin would make it super mushy and shift early
