Hello, everyone
New to this forum although I've been looking through it about everyday.
I just bought a 1989 f350 4x4 it sat for couple months before I got it but the owner before me swears it didn't burn oil but, words are cheap. Well 3 hours drive home after buying it I was low on oil. Changed the oil and filter drove to Amarillo going 70mph 320 miles I lost 3 quart's
Cleared the CDR. Drove it home 70mpm burned 3 quarts. Order a new CDR I drove back to work in Amarillo at 75mpg lost a gallon of oil. But in town I have no issues 150 miles around town and oils still at the full line when it's hot. It does idle rough Some of the other posts I have seen said that auto rx helped alot going to order that now. Other checking compression what else could or might cause this? Can the CDR be overwhelmed with to much blowby and put oil into the intake?
