Boost line mod to Fool the ECM?

Well I found a pressure regulator & some fittings laying in the air tool drawer I forgot about & made a boost regulator. Got it set @ 20psi & no more SES light.

However, even on the 160 setting, I'm only making 29-30psi of boost. Even with the wicked wheel I'm hearing the skitter sound again when the truck shifts (I think it's shifting too soon too, but that can be adjusted by the tranny shop). I was thinking of wiring the wastegate shut next. Where else should I be looking for the missing boost

29-30 is a little low adjust the reg until you see the ses
you will still have some skiiter, that is not as bad as the surge,

wiring the wastgate shut dont help

A regular diode only conducts in one direction, and the direction it doesn't conduct in has a very high break down voltage. A Zener diode is a broken regular diode. It has a very low, but set breakdown voltage in the reverse direction. Consequently, it will conduct in what is normally the undesired direction, but only the voltage that it is rated for.
