axle identification with pics

Does anyone know what axle this is I cant find an axle id tag and the guy i bought the truck from said there is a superduty axle in the front but didnt know about the rear. He bought it from a guy who bought it from guy......one of those deals,,, haha anyway i wasnt sure if anyone could i.d this by looking at it or know of a method that i could measure to find out

truck is a 1987 f350 cclb 7.3l

Measure between the centers of two studs clear across the hub from one another. If you see 6.5" (165mm) you have a 10.25" Sterling axle that is '97 or older. If you see 170mm (6.7" or 6-11/16") that makes it a 10.5" Sterling for a '99 and newer truck. Same measurements apply for the front axle as well, except that one will be a DANA axle.
