You can order a new sending unit, but they are NOT available anymore. If you do find one, notify about 50 other guys on here that can't find any.

Better yet, why not start another thread, ya sure as hell didn't pay attention to the other 3 or 4 on how to check things out.

Yeah, ya oughta buy the FSV from Ford for $500,probably better than the one from AutoZone at $80.

DONE.

NEVER!!!!!:shoot:

HAY! i never criticize the low buck chuck! ive been there! and after 23ish years of wrenching, if found a way to capitalize on it!
my job does not pay for my parts,(besides tax returns) flipping cars, parts and fab work does!
but the fact remains, some amount of cash is going to have to be spent!
i told him to go the mechanical route! but you cannot argue the fact that the correct FSV, is the easiest solution!
6 lines, 6 clips, 2 bolts and a connector. i had the same problem as the OP.
i sold 20 car models that i bought at a storage auction to purchase that badboy.
fixed everything.

Yeah, I know I know. It is the easiest fix. My FSV let me down big time and I guess I still have some ill will towards it-cussLOL

After all the good that has come from the experience of doin' the manny switches and the results I can't justify the expense of the part. I still have mine in a box in my storage unit... Haven't figured out if I want to clean it and sell it or throw it off a bridge with a cinder block tied to it so I can;p:DLOL:rotflmao
