damn near joined local 3 here in norcal to be an operating enginer. was going to be a tower crane operator but got a more lucrative offer elsewhere with a shorter commute from ground level plus theres too much :popcorn with tower cranes around here. i have a buddy with a 6.0 thats a blade hand for local 3 and they take real good care of him

Was local 150 out of Chicago 10 years ago. Told the barstages to pound sand after 2 years. To friggen much hassle!! Couldn't run more than 3 different machines a day and if i rotated through all 3 and there was nuttin else to do i sat on my ass!! The friggen BA was always on my case when i had a grease gun in my hand at lunch time! I was responsible for the damn machine and if it was down i didn't work so I took care of it. Screw the Union. There a bunch of ****** ******** in Chicago!!
