ABS ?

My light keeps commin on so, how do I retrieve codes. I replaced the diff sensor and checked the tone ring, looks good. It is causing the rear to lock up during braking at red lights and stop sights any slow stop it locks up. What all is involved in removing the entire ABS system?

others will correct me if i am wrong but take you glove box out and there will be a black box behind it with a plug of wires going into it. disconect that. that black black box is abs computer. mine is not hooked up. i don't even have wires going to it.

OK cool was yours locking up too or is this a separate issue I'm not seeing

I've never removed an abs system but your problem is most likely the proportioning valve.

Is the prop valve on the master on these or somewhere else

mine was not connected when i got the truck. there is not a single wire going to it. if i am luckiy enough to have my tires lock up they stay locked up.

X2 on the prop valve going bad. it screws into the back port on the mc that feeds the rear brakes.

there is. it is not your typical looking valve. i will get a pic, just one minute.
