hey guys need some opinions,my uncle wants to sell his 97 f-350 4x4 powerstroke,is auto,xlt mint condition with 8,000 miles.he bought it new and it mainly sits in his garage.he keeps his stuff extremly nice.5th wheel hitch,and brute 2 rear bumper.i've wanted this truck for years.i currently have a 92 4x4 IDI with 215,000+ miles.its a good truck but the new york state road salt has taken its toll.he is asking 12,000 for it,blue book is 10,500.should i be concerned that it has sat so much?other issue is cash flow,seems like everytime you get short on money something like this happens.

Did you say 8,000 (eight thousand) miles???? If so, 12 grand is a steal. If the mileage is correct I bet he could get closer to 20K for it if the right guy saw it.

the milage is correct,i've drooled over this truck for years begging him to sell it to me.i really want it just really dont have the cash to get it right now.i'm trying to convice him to let me make payments on it.i guess all i can do is wait for now.

I paid $10,500 for the truck in the avatar about a year ago with just over 100,000 miles, & think I got my moneys worth.
If he puts the truck on ebay, you'll never see it again! Buy it or tell us his phone number.

Other than seals, water pump, fuel pump and things like that there should be no problems with it sitting all its life. Much better truck than a new 08' for a fraction of the price. 12k is a good deal.

it hasnt sat all its life,it pulls his gooseneck trailer about once or twice a year!
