96 7.3 burnt valve cover wiring

What is stopping me from swapping in later model valve cover gaskets and then combining the two pigtails to make it a single plug gasket.

just get the gaskets and harnesses for the 99-03 and get the pigtail or the shell with the pins for the main harness.
