Here's a cheap fix for the nylon part of the GP connectors when they get hard, brittle, and deteriorate. It's a commonly available thick-wall heat shrink with adhesive inside. Good for 230 Deg F (110 C). Did this last year and it's holding up well.

Great idea for a fix. Uhaul has the complete glow plug harness for $85.00 right now. I like your fix better....:sly

Link & size of GP connector heat-shrink

Here's a link to some heavy wall, adhesive lined heat-shrink. Medium wall thickness would work too. The adhesive lining is necessary to grip the brittle or cracked nylon. It's often hard to find locally. 3/8 is the size to fit over the nylon insulator of the 7.3 glow plug connectors.
