ok heres the ordeal i got a lot of questions

my buddy got a 350 2x4 psd auto
he wants 4x4 and manual

i got my truck 250 srw
i want d60 drw

and we found a 88 460 4x4 drw truck

now some questions on the truck well be buying
it looks like it got a swr rear its narrower
its got a 4 inch extension panel on the bed to make it look ok with the cab
its reg cab and has the hump in the frame like a pickup
137" wheelbase 34" wide frame makes no sense though
no holes for the axle being moved either
so can anyone explain that

now the other questions are swap related first

ive done 150 to 250 ttb. now he wants my ttb on his 2wd psd. the psd crossmember seems wider (front to back) than mine and does not have the holes the ttb would bolt up to. with proper holes to allign everythingwill it bolt up?
the 5 speed ordeal, is the psd bolt pattern the same as the 460 in an 88? or is it the same as an idi? cause the type 4 mod could be done to solve the issue.

ok now to my swap, a true dully rear it should need perches moved if its a srw rear i know it will bolt up but will the tires rub springs?

ok thanks and i think thats all the questions for now

I don't quite understand what you're asking but you can do what Mel and I did and install a d44 from an F-150 4x4 under the F-350 4x2 (keeping the F-350 coil springs and using Chevy 8 stud 4x4 spindles and brakes). It's cheap, works well (direct bolt in) and will be safe as long as its not lifted.

what you are looking at is a commercial chassis.
the "filler" between the cab and bed is to make up for a 4" gap difference between a pickup vs. commercial wheelbase.
