anyone got a good suggestion for a quiet free flowing 4" muffler? i have the 4" MBRP turbo-back exhaust with a straight thru muffler and the drone between 1500-2000 rpm is getting on my last nerve..

This may sound silly. Did you try turning it in the opposite direction.? It might cut out the drone.
Mine had a drone but since I deleted the muffler. It dose not do that any more.:rotflmao

muffler

I just went from 4 open pipes to a Nelson 4" X 36" straight trough round muffler
Still plenty of turbo noise no banging under heavy load a little hiss under heavy load. No noise in cab with windows up.

I use a Walker big truck muffler. It cost about $85 when I had it installed.

I put one of those mufflers on the Super Duty. Great budget mod. Then I went with the MBRP 4" exhaust. I can't waist good parts, so the tail pipe and muffler now live my old F350.:D
