I got on eBay and ordered like a 5' section of 4" pipe, 2 45* bends, and a 3"-4" adaptor. I used the 2 45s instead of 1 90 to help get the pipe parallel with the ground. The exhaust runs with the frame rail so 1 of the 45s point slightly downwards coming off the straight section then the other 45 angles back up and exits in front of the right rear. The exhaust shop came off the factory y (or T) pipe in to 3" and bent about a foot section to get up and over the trans crossmember then it's all 4" behind that. Sounds awesome and dropped about 100 degrees off my egts. I plan to have the same shop build a 2.5" or 3" y pipe some day. The factory looks very inefficient

It was tight getting over the rear axle in front of the rear tank tho....

I wouldnt change a thing if i had to do it again.
Unless i wanted to see what 4" sounds like

I had a NA years ago with true duals and glass packs. It was loud. But i had a shop do it so im of no help on that one.

Can you weld? I just finished a 3" Y pipe transitioned into a 4in straight pipe into a 5inch magnaflow.

I wanted 5" on mine but exhaust shop told me it wouldn't fit too well with rear axle & tank. They installed a 4" and it sounded awesome compared to previous 3" magnaflow setup that my truck had on it.
The bigger pipe diameter exhaust pipe got rid of that weird clackiness that these engines make at higher rpms.
Anything above a 3.5" exhaust diameter will not net you any additional power gains from what I have heard FYI.

There is a mod for the PSD downpipe.
But he'll need a turbo for that. Lol

If no plans to turbo, dual 3 inch would work.

Diamond eye does cat back kits for the Powerstrokes. Just use a 3-4" adapter after the factory wye pipe at the end of the downpipes. Please don't try to put true dual 4" exhaust and downpipes on an N/A IDI.

I had true duals on my truck when it was N/A. it was all 2.5'' pipe and went into two 4'' stacks. it was LOUD, but had the coolest sound at 1,500 rpm under a load.

I would totally do it again, but now this dam turbo is there.LOL
