24v turbo on a 12v

are they different what can i expect ive heard the 24v turbo is bigger but im not sure....as is everyone i am trying to make cheap quick hp gains....btw its a 97 ex cab dually 5 spd....not sure if the motor has any mods i know the ppl im buyin it from blew a brand new clutch in like a year...it was a stock clutch but still... rthe motor only has 20k on it it was rebuilt buy a local guy everyone knows so i plan on finding out exactly what all was done to it... any way i would be grateful for an info on the turbos that i can get
