Now I know 235's is wrong, duallys came with 215's... I know I had one !! And I'll go look for a SRW , still say 265 there.

215s maybe right.............never needed training wheels so I didn't pay much attention.

I'll take a pic of the sticker on my door jam if ya don't believe me but 245s are what came from the factory on my 1994 Dodge Ram 2500. ;Sweet

With all my mods, I usually get 16-17 in town. Never calculated highway mileage. I know that it gets much much better mileage pullin a 11,000 lb trailer than our 06. No offense, but I hate 24Vs.

I do mostly city driving in the week and as soon as the weekend hits, I hit the highway to get the heck outta the concrete jungle... avg 27mpg per tank all together. 5 speed... you cant beat it.. I imagine once I start tinkering with the fuel flow, turbo, and exhaust it wont be as good as it is now... price you pay to leave people behind you in that black cloud!

And how many miles did you get on your last set of tires by chance.....LOL insiders joke :D

I'm thinking that that would be in imperial gallons correct?

Well currently I am running 235/85 R16 Firestone Destination M/T-- Bulletproof tires---highly suggest these to any weekend offroader- yes I am doing it the old fashioned way.. calculator and yeah thats the imperial gallon. even still feels good to get the milage of a k-car and be able to throw a moose in back of'er
don't you?

The best I have gotten towing the airstream is 17.5 the worst down to 13.5. Too fast to many grades.
The 235 85's would get me buried QUICK

for you auto guys do you have three speed or four speed. my four speed has .69/1 overdrive, but i have 4.10 gears. i like four speed better with 4.10 than 3 speedd with higher gears because you have low end pulling power and overdrive to get good mileage. my .02

Not here...
I'm right up there in MPG's myself... I'm now pulling about 21.7 to 23.3 on the average for the tank...

are all you guys that are getting those high mpgs running 245 tires? im running 265s andwhen my speedo shows 50 the radar shows about 47. however my gps fluctuates between 48 and 49. im only averaging 17 mpg or so combined city and hwy, 4wd auto 354 gears. towing is 13 to 15. the truck had 285s when i got it .the previous owner said he got 21 to 26. i only checked it once with 285s and got 24.5. only one check may not have been real. so should i go w/285 or 245 or keep the 265s??? HELP! also would a lower stall speed converter help mpgs? I'm told that i need to get the converter locked up really early to get the best mpg. i guess i need a valve body or shift kit and a stronger tc to do it right. anyone know of a good controller to do this? preferably without having to shift manualy. i've done the TST free mod and it don't work good on MY truck. it shifts thru all the gears under light to med throttle by about 15mph in drive! full throttle shift points are OK but it shifts so hard it's scary. also won't lock up if shifted manually; only in Drive. i would appreciate any advice from anyone who has experance w/ any of these things. I need more mpg!! ive got a BHAF that i made a box for that keeps out about 90% of hot air and made a crude ram air system out of some PVC rain gutter down pipe and rain collecter to get cold air to the engine side of the a.f. helped a little , nice whine. no cat, stock ****.mild cam plate. thanks.
