1st big pull and new toy

Just bought my 90 late dec and I just found this 86 350 6.9 crew cab 4x4 with hypermax turbo. Couldn't let go, some rot in the floors but seems ok for a project and for $700. Picked up 95 miles from home and pulled great at 65 down the highway. Very happy I went diesel!

That's the same thing I was lookin' at, plus the turbo may be worth something to the right person, I'm thinking of stripping it down, shorten it to a short bed and then re-do the frame and body, make it look new. My reg cab is a bit crowded.

Both my 94 and 97 Have the rec mirrors. I ordered them that way.

Nice find! I would also be interested in the turbo system. Just bought an 88 with a bad ZF5 speed for $350. Swapped in a 4 speed I had and was back on the road in a day. Just needs more gitty-up now.

The truck was in Lodi, near Madison. Was a 2 week old ad on CL saying for parts but no one offered I guess. The floor pan's pretty rotten but the doors and box are in really good shape.
Sorry, not ready to sell any parts yet, wanna fire it up and see what I have to work with, may put the turbo on 90's 7.3.
