I just put in two new tanks and lines. Im going to put on a new fuel filter fill it with diesel and try to get it to start. How do you get rid of all the air in the fuel lines. I know that there is a bycicle valve on the seperator that you can purge air with.

one 40 gallon rear tank beats two tanks. or 40 gallon plus 15 gallon fron tank is even better.
I want free space under the truck to mount things.

You have OEM lift pump? or electric on your truck?

That bicycile valve is the schrader valve and you depress it when cranking to bleed off the trapped air. Now when you prefill the dilter make sure the fuel only pours into the outer ring of holes. If you use the big holes the filter has not gotten to filter the fuel. No matter how clean you feel you gallon of fuel is you will have dirt in it or something that can ruin the injection pump. Just use the very outer ring of holes to fill the filter. That way your filter is doing its job...
