Today me and dad painted his Lincoln parts and my fuel tank, hood, and random parts. I have to mount the hood on it and finish lining everything up, sand and paint the exterior.

A 1977 tank? I'm, pretty sure that they didn't have in cab tanks in 1977. I've seen one in a 1974 F250, but that's the latest year that I've personally seen.

Well it was the only tank on the truck, so... And it has a D7 code sending unit in it. He switched to a rear tank

After doing a quick Google search, I found that they were available in early 1977 up to model 20,000 or so. That was also supposed to be the last number for the high boys. Maybe it was a highboy only thing for Dent sides? I've mostly looked at 4x2 trucks and the 1974 that I looked at was a high boy.
