i am looking at a 1995 cummins with 200,000+ miles.

i know the dodge transmission is no good, or at least the torque converter, so i am planning on upgrading it. what is the most cost effective way to do that? do i need to upgrade anything else in the tranny?

i dont have a TON of extra cash to spend fixing the truck up. are there any other things should i expect to have to replace?

You should set aside about 1500 for a really good converter, and probably 2000 for a good transmission.
Or just stick a NV4500 manual in the truck and not have to worry about trashing an automatic.
