OK, here's my deal. I currently have a 1991 F350 SRW. The drum brakes are shot. I bought a 1999 F350 cab and chassis for a parts truck and both have 4:10 limited slip axles. I really want to swap in the 10.5 to get rear discs with an E brake. I know the spring perches will need to be moved, that's a minor concern.
The biggest challenge seems to be the axle flange spacing, about 71" on the C&C, 67" on the SRW. I'm thinking 2.5" spacers that convert your pattern from 8 on 170 to 8 on 6.5. Anybody have the actual flange to flange spacing on either axle? I'm only estimating. I'm thinking about taking the C&C spring pack as well, they look beefy! Any input is appreciated.
