TRANSMISSION SWAP
I have an 1987 $WD F250 with the 6.9 and the C6 transmission, would like to put in the 5 speed overdrive manual transmission in it to get engine RPMS down on the highway. replace head gaskets 6.9 diesel
Thinking of replacing the head gaskets on my 6.9 in an 1987 F-250 with 114,000 miles on it because these seems to be a slight coolant leak on the rear drivers side. How much problem to do this with the engine in the truck, and approximately what do those heads weight? I am also considering...- Riley

6.9 oil capacity and truck seats.
Just a couple quick questions, guys. What is the oil change capacity of the 6.9 with new filter? Also, I want to reupholster the front seats on my 1987 Truck. I see LMC has the new upholstery for seats up to 1986 and from 1992 up. Would anyone know if the 1986 seats are the same as the...- Riley

new kid on the block fuel question
Hello all, New to this site. I just purchased an 1987 Ford F250 with the 6.9 engine. It has good power, but blows lots of black smoke when accelerating and climbing hills.
