Mileage with the 5.4 V8's????
Anyone running them??? I have an 05 Expedition 4X4 with 52K miles a 5.4 3V V8, 4 spd auto and 3.73 gears. I get 11-12 mpg in town and a very consistent 18 on the highway. The town mileage sucks because of the Tq Converter lockup from what i can figure. My dad has an 07 2WD with 20K miles...- mjstef

Damn!! That was a steal! When i sold my 2000 CC 4x4 7.3 PSD 6 speed with 126K in 03 on it i got 21K for it!!! It had double the miles!!! The 6.0's just are not holding there value well. I was offered 15K on trade for my 03.............- mjstef

Just for the record, Since i cleaned my EGR valve and re-installed it i have disconnected it. I have put on about 1000 miles and have not used a drop of anti-freeze.:wtf:- mjstef

All the camper package is is a set of swaybars i believe. If you replace yours put MOOG's in. There the only ones with Grease Zerks in top and bottom. These guys got a kit for under $250- mjstef

By the time i could have done it it would have cost me over 10K in mileage fees and i couldn't come up with the cash OR the financing at the time. The dealer out here says ALL superduty's from 02 and up will end up needing ball joints by 60-80K miles.............- mjstef

Out of 5 ford trucks this is the biggest POS i have ever had. My 88, 94 idi turbo, 95 PSD were rock solid and never gave me any issues! My 00 was decent but had its days. This 6.0 had 7K in warranty before 70K miles!! That is unacceptable for what they cost!! I have 120K on it now so i eat...- mjstef

Got under the hood today to check oil and saw the last time i had the truck in for a flash i forgot to pull the EGR valve plug. I decided to pull the EGR and clean it then leav it unplugged. We'll after about a half hour of cuss words i got the bastard out and see it is stuck partway open. In...- mjstef

Ford admits the 6.0 sucks..................
Got 117K on mine now. It was good for a while after the reflash in April. Now at 60* it has a hard time starting again. My guess is GP's but i sure as hell am not giving Ford $80 an hour to figure it out! There estimate for GP replacement was over $500!!!!! Guess i'll have to spend all...- mjstef
