After all the problems with my 6.0 i am leaning towards a Dodge soon. Will they hold up to 50-80K miles a year?? Is the mileage decent on the new ones?? I am getting 9 towing and 16 empty with my 6.0 The cummins has to do better than that!!! Anyone ever dealt with Dave Smith Motors in Kellogg Idaho?? People fly in there all the time from around the country to buy trucks there. He is the worlds LARGEST Dodge dealer...................

Here is a quote i got..................

Matt, This is one that I have in stock right now. It has a sticker price
of $43,490. We paid $38,900 for it and put custom tint for $195 on it. We
can sell this truck to you for $1500 below that and then minus rebates.
Currently there is a total of $3500 in rebates through the end of the
month. Your out the door price is $34,194.50. No other fees. If this is too
much truck let me know. My number is 1-800-635-8000 Ext 1218. Thank you.

I tried that here and the dealer said go ahead and buy it from them cause we will not move on our price. He also mentioned that warranty and normal service would be on the bottom of the pile becasue of the purchase from some one else.

I'd have a serious bone to pick with their service manager, then. I'm military and move often... shouldn't be treated second best just because I didn't buy from them...

You sure would think so. By the way, that was when I was looking at Dodge back in 02'. The GMC dealer is different, they do great work even though I bought in another city.

Seems like a good deal, I just got a MegaCab from Tom Chaney (Lou Fusz Dodge) and got the same deal. DSM and TomeyGun were the exact same price but Tomey was closer so I ordered from him. Plus he is all over the TDR so if I have issues it is in his interests to keep customers happy. Scotty

ever look at a con rod comparison?

Of course, the big rod is from a cummins. You make the decision which one looks like it won't break pullin your big ass trailer up a 8% grade.
The middle one is from a ford powerstroke, the other is a chevy duramax.
