WOW! Looks like you have been doing your homework! I ordered the inovations street tune for my truck yesterday and can't wait to try it out, Eric has been a real great source and I'm sure it will all work out. I will let you know the tune works in my 04.
So do you think I will be ok with the SCT tune?:dunno I do not drive mine like a bat outta bell, I only wanted the tune for better shifting, egr delete, and better MPG and everyone told me to go with the SCT.
Just the default 6.0L tune that came with the unit. How do you get the Innovative tune and is it a tune that would be too hot for the head gaskets pop? :dunno
I did it!!! I have installed on my truck! It has 47K on her now and new 4" turbo back installed and I did do the SCT default tune, is this OK??????? The Tranny seems to shift harder and man what a difference in power!!!
I found the problem, it was the rear main plug at the back bumper was almost unpluged. Put in some dielectric grease and plugged her in and all is good!
I have another issue that came up, due to the drainage it took out one of my batteries, so I replaced both and now my ABS light won't go...
Weird :dunno I drove off the other day in my PSD 2004 and went to use my blinkers and they are flashing real fast on the dash when I use them. I checked both rear brake lights and rear blinkers do not work. The front blinkers work and the flasher works, but only on the front, nothing in the...
I get so many suggestions and no real ideas on what is good and what is not. What's that saying "everyone has an opinion" My 2004 has 46K and is fine, I would like to add a turbo back free flow exhaust and a programmer but you guys scare the hell out of me on doing anything!
I really like the truck and have put more monies in it than I should, but what are big boys toys for anyway? LOL Adding the Banks Turbo really made a big difference! Tomorrow she gets the new 3.73 gears and limited slip. I will post some more photos soon. I have the new leather seats installed...
I do tow my bobcat sometimes but not all the time, I'm putting big red in the shop tomorrow for a new set of 3.73's and a posi rear. When I bought the truck it had 3.08's in it. With these in there it is an old dog, it does good to climb a hill  I hope these work fo me and from what...
No it was cold, I stopped by Autozone and picked up a new one, installed and the magnet alt is gone! Haywire if this works you have made my day! All looks good so far I will let set overnight and let you know.
Yes very warm - hot really after the truck has run a few min. I took the first new alternator back to Autozone and they tested it and it tested good, but they gave me a new one anyway and I had them test it before I left and it's doing the same thing which leads me to think it is something else...
Great thanks, this is my second ALT. and both have been tested and purchased at Autozone and they were both good? I will let you know what I find. Also going tomorrow and having a .373 gear set with a posi put in her. The 308's are just too high! I need more pulling power. I was going to go...
Looks like your sporting around in an even newer Ford! Looks awesome! I did find the receipt but Sams is a good drive from here so I just went to the local Autozone and bought new ones since the ones you put in had maybe one more year left. ;Sweet
The batteries are brand new, and the minute I connect the grounds the alternator becomes an instant magnet! When I disconnect the small red lead going to the right side of the starter solenoid the alternator is no longer magnetized! cookoo
Okay did some more investigating, when I disconnect the lead on the right side of the starter solenoid the one with the smaller red wire from the battery the drain is gone? Is this a bad solenoid staying open?
I have a weird issue and was wondering if anyone else has heard of this. :dunno My 7.3 decided to start draining batteries. When you recharge the batteries the truck cranks just fine, also I replaced the alt and new batteries and same thing. If it sets for a few days dead! The alternator is...
