    Thanks...I got it all back together but my batteries are drained bad and not turning the motor fast enough. I got them charging right now and anticipate that I will get it started tomorrow if it would quit raining. I may take you up on your offer if I cant get it going.

    OK IP is off old motor. Injectors pulled from old motor. I wire brushed the threads and removed old copper gaskets. Can I soak them in diesel fuel or gas to clean them out or should I take them apart. I got a complete gasket with all o rings and gaskets, return lines etc.

    No its more than just the injectors. I have the hard lines pulled off the injectors. Also pulled a hard line off the pump. Still nothing. Clean fuel into IP. Top of IP is full of clean fuel. Injectors had rust in top of them. Its good to know the injectors interchange. Thanks.

    OK thanks. Fuel in top of IP is clean. The other motor ran when I pulled it, just had a blown head gasket. In retrospect I should have just fixed it. I will replace entire fuel system from 6.9. Will pump from 6.9 need re timed? Also after I remove the nuts on the back does the pump come free...

    I recently swapped a 92 7.3 idi into my 86 f350. Long story short after a very frustrating experience with the wiring I decided just to use the glow plug system off of the 6.9 that I had and ended up using the 6.9 harness. Everything now works.....except im getting NO fuel out of the IP. All...

    OK good point with the p brake. My truck is a Cab/chassis with a flat bed on it. As long as the springs are the same length they should work correct?

    Can a newbie get a little help

    Yeah think I will swap the vrv onto the 7.3. My only other issue I have is trying to figure out what to do with the extra 2 wires the 7.3 wiring harness has 10 vs 8 on the 6.9. I would like to just wire the plug from the 6.9 to the harness on the 7.3. Is it possible to do this?

    Thanks for all the help. Would it just be easier to remove the ip from my old motor and then re-time it or would it involve re-setting the output also. This engine is just a little more complicated than the LDT 465 in my 71 deuce military truck lol.

    Yes it is an auto (c-6). My truck is an 86 f350 2wd. The injector pump on the 7.3 looks like the one pictured above. The IP on the old motor has 2 vac lines attached to a black plastic piece. Can I just plug off the lines that came into the old ip?
