    Austin I'm not too sure about axles. I think the rear is a sterling 10 bolt? I'm not 100% sure. As far as the GV unit right now it is married to the transfer case which bolts onto the back of a C6 Transmission. I think you can send in the adapter unit and get them to send you any adapter...

    I can confirm that my motor will NOT even sputter on just ether if there is no fuel present.     Air intrusion? If it's not starting on ether I would suspect air. Do you have an electric fuel pump? Have you checked for fuel/air at the schrader valve?

    Waystro have you checked if you are getting power to the relay coil? Please save yourself, start at the relay and work back to the ignition. It could be the relay, it could be the wiring it could be something else. Get a volt meter, look at the diagram and work backwards! Have you checked...

    You can check your starter relay by taking off the coil wire and using a short jumper from that small terminal to your positive terminal on your battery. Of course be cautious! I'm betting you aren't getting power to your relay coil.

    Are you hearing the relays activate for the glow plugs followed by the starter when you turn the key? Should be a fairly quick indication if they are working. Good luck! I bet it ends up being an easy fix.

    I'd take a volt meter or test light and see if the glow plug solenoid is getting power to the coil. If not then start tracing back to the key using a wiring diagram. Not sure if you have/can find one. If not I may have one in my collection of manuals.

    I believe the heads have different sized bolts and a different cooling passage. I THINK the heads can be swapped using special studs but I'm not sure. I believe the valves, rockers, can be switched however.

    Think I will end up shortening my drive shaft by the looks of it. Just the short piece past the carrier bearing. I know there is a lot of division on this subject but my friend is a ticketed welder so I trust his welds.

    hce I have the controller from the original install so I will look into finding a manual for installing it in a manual setup. I'm assuming the controller was the same between automatic and manual setups though. If not I'll be looking for a controller soon. Thanks!
