    Converting the '87 CC in my sig to zf5 4x4 so my U.S. Gear Dual Range with c6 and front driveshaft is up for sale, it shifts as it should and is still in the truck $1,000 obo located near Peoria, IL.

    10-4, I like my '87 but my '86 is actually my dd as it gets better gas mileage and I just prefer manual trans, if my '87 was manual it would be a different story!

    Interesting, are the NP435's directly interchangeable with T19's? I've had zero problems with my '86 and i've driven it on several 1,000+ mile trips towing trailers with vehicles.

    thanks for all the info Ted! I'm like you, automatics just bug me, I guess I'm a control freak. Although my cousin does have a 2000 E350 extended van with the 5.4l gasser and over 250k on it I drive sometimes and the tranny still shifts smooth as silk.

    Yeah I was thinking keep and drive as it is, maybe convert to 4x4 if possible, guy said it gets 20mpg and I love those old torque-y straight 6's, I had a '79 F150 4x4 4speed in my younger days I had a lot of fun with before the body disintegrated. Would just need a place to park it so my wife...

    anyone tow my "new" '86 F250 from Anaheim, CA to Phoenix or local storage? couldn't resist a truck at an auction in Anaheim, CA- need it out of there asap though, can be delivered to local storage that I can set up or all the way to my brothers house in Phoenix if you want, paying good $$$$$...
