radiator swap?
I got my replacement engine running last night. It started immediately once I got the fuel system primed. It runs good and doesn't smoke. I got the ssgpcontoller wired in too. bleeding cooling system,priming fuel and lube oil systems?
I finally got the replacement6.9 installed in my f250. This engine came from a van. I had to remove the oilcooler to remove the van motor mount. flywheel attachment bolt sealant?
I am ready to swap a flexplate for a flywheel. The service manual says to coat the flywheel attachment bolts threads portion with sealant BSA-19-554a. Anyone know what this stuff is? Do I have to go to ford or navistar to get it?- oldoiler

Help: I can't get my #@##$$%%^^&&^$fan clutch off
I am in the process of exchanging engines in my "86 f250. I need to get the fan clutch off on engine and on to the other. I know the clutch is screwed on with reverse threads. I don't have the special tools mentioned in the service manual. I can get a wrench onto the hex nut no problem. I don't...- oldoiler

I just found a website which answered all my questions regarding wiring changes to update the glowplug controller and relay on my 6.9.Wiring diagrams as well as text. There is info here which goes clear back to the early '83 contoller. Lots of other great info here as well...- oldoiler

I just bought a 1986 F250HD extended cabXLt lariat 4X4, 4 speed 6.9. The engine runs but has a horrific rod knock. The PO ran it low on oil!!! He even had extra lubeoil in the truck.
