I don't know what I would do without coffee...when I don't want to stay awake I drink a coffee-flavored drink substitute...

if you install a steeper gear ratio it will spin the flange faster...I vote for a 5.14 gear....and you can warm up your hot chocolate...in short order...

Yes. Still no generator though. I don't pull it often enough to justify any attempts.

When I got out of the Navy, my right pointer finger was bent from always having a Coffee Mug in my hand.
First thing in the morning make a pot of the stuff, then around 6pm make another pot.
I can drink the stuff till 1am or later, hit the sack and Iam out. Doesn`t keep me awake or the jitters.

Some times on a long trip, I pop a few Coffee beans and chew them. Give me a little perk up, plus you get the roughage.
Also I drink it Black, use to put cream and sugar in it, now if I do that...

Never drink sugary drinks.

That is a good tip...might save me a few bucks from buying coffee on the road...

I swore off soft drinks...good way to gift yourself with a kidney stone...

nelstommilson... No wasn`t a Chief, did my 4 and got out. Was E-4 and recommended to take the test for E-5, but wasn`t interested in extending my enlistment for that.
Was a Radioman on a Tin Can, the experience for a 19 yr old kid was incredable.

Had some fun`s time taking on fuel, here was a fun day getting fuel from a carrier.

Wally.....nothing.....doesn’t even click. Hook up my “intelligent” charger and says bad battery. I clean connections and get things to charge. 25% juice in both batteries (been 4-6 months). Go to start...nothing.

Annoyed wife brings down pickup and just gonna pull it out of the way. Hop in Wally and moved the column shifter.....van FIRES even without a GP cycle. (60F and humid)

I turn on the AC to cool my temper. Love the R12.

My landscaping project continues. The first load of stone (4500 lbs) was hauled home. The steering got a little light and I may have exceeded the 10,000 lb GVWR.....

Changed my Fuel/Water filter along the frame rail.. guess I need to drop the tank ahhgg.. has been running a little rough here and there..

I changed the engine oil and filter. I've only used Shell Rotella since I've owned this truck. This time I went with Costco's Kirkland brand. One thing is certain, the engine idles much quieter now than with Shell. Time will tell.

Think I have 17 box`s of the Costco oil. Everytime they have a sale on it I buy 4 at a time.

They have a sale now for $30 a box down from $39. I think today is the last day for the sale.
5-12-24.

Picked up a 87 250 6.9 4x4 from a friend for $2k....with stupid C-6.
Spend the last 2 days cleaning up the left side.
Ford has this wide plastic strips stuck down the lower side between the tan and dark brown paint.
Ends were curling out, so ripped them off, looks better.
Then using a razor blade window scraper, gently pealed off the stick em and other goop. Use some Wax & Grease remover, thinking it would get the stuff off. Didn`t really work.,,,Hmmm maybe some Acitone?

Used polish compound on the Tan Paint, and it did take off most of the paint discolorization that was under the Trim.
Then waxed it with Mcguires Wax/Paint cleaner and really shined her up.
Popped off the F-250, XLT Lariet, and the ATS Sticker from the fender. Looks better w/o the ID Tags.

There is no help for the dark brown metallic paint. Ford used some crappy paint, Roof and Hood is all rusty. Something Iam going to have to address before winter, mainly the roof.

Has those stupid plastic Head Lights that are all yellow. At least at night someone can see me coming but I can`t see where Iam going.
How did the NTHA ok these?
