My first filtration rig... wmo processor

yeah, I understand that, but my diagram/ instructions from PA say to put in a safety pressure release as well, I guess in case that one gets clogged. is it 1/4" or 3/8" Will your braided line have end fittings or will it be the barbs like you have now? It looks good, my setup is planned...

what size is that hose going from the pump to the fuge? and what type of hose is it? In the information from PABioDiesel, they say to use hydraulic hose and fittings, but I like your setup better (it's hard for me to find supplies locally) Do you not have a pressure safety bypass?

    Noise at high speeds

I discovered today a broken leaf spring on the passenger rear side of the truck. 1/2 of one leaf is gone, broke just behind the axle. I suspect it broke, but took a while to fall out. Could this have been the vibration at higher speeds? It makes some noise on our dirt roads, and I will be...

I'll look around and see what I can find.

Front wheel bearing in a 4x4?

is that tie rod set just for one side? I guess about $30 for each u-joint, too, right? $25 for each bearing, 3 on each side, $150 for the bearings. Then another $60 for the u-joints, assume 2 tierod/ball joint sets @$214, $60 for seals, etc, we're at $500 just for parts. That's less than...

Front wheel bearing in a 4x4?

yeah, I would love to rebuild the front end, but money is tight, and I don't know if I can find the funds to do it right now. We drive this truck like 2 times a month, basically to go to the city for feed and supplies. What sort of ballpark amount am I looking at for rebuilding the front...

Front wheel bearing in a 4x4?

yeah, I thought it might have been related to a bumpy tire, but I've moved them around and even put on different tires, and the sound is still there. It's strange, and it's loud enough to make me worry.

Front wheel bearing in a 4x4?

I'm not sure the bearing is making noise, it's just hard to track down the cause of the noise. That dust seal had me fooled, and when I saw it of center, I assumed there was a bearing there that was going out. Back to square 1 to figure out this noise and potential problem. Thanks for...

Front wheel bearing in a 4x4?

yeah, you're right, it's just that dust seal is loose, making it look like the shaft is off center. hmmmm, I guess I need to take it in to someone next week and check it out. This noise is making me worry, and I thought I had found something!

Front wheel bearing in a 4x4?

yeah, they probably need it, not sure if the previous owner did it ever (I've only had the truck for a year <10,000 miles) well, if there's play there, wouldn't that mean the bearings have play?

Front wheel bearing in a 4x4?

ok, sorry for the photos, it is dark out there, but maybe you can see it. there's a joint there and where it goes into the wheel housing, the gap on the bottom is bigger than the top. It is not centered, but the driver's side one is.

Front wheel bearing in a 4x4?

hmm, let me see if I can find a photo of it somewhere. It's the shaft going into the wheel. The thing that turns the wheel :). Looks to be about 2-3" in diameter.

Front wheel bearing in a 4x4?

I started noticing a sound in my truck at high speeds: http://www.oilburners.net/forums/showthread.php?65039-Noise-at-high-speeds I looked at both wheels in detail today, and on the right, where the spindle/shaft goes into the wheel, it is off-center. The driver's side was centered...

94 Turbo won't start when hot, this is after the IP rebuld!

The truck still has the same issue, and I've just elarned to live with it, for now. I haven't had a chance to get a new pump, but that's the eventual plan.

    Noise at high speeds

The normal size is 265/75 R16, I believe. Not sure about the spare, it is under the truck, and we got 2" of rain last night, so I'm not going to climb under there right now. It's just slightly off size, but I do know that it is bad to use different sizes. I didn't really have an option...
