Hey all! I have a 2000 F350 4 door that I'm having some electrical issues with. I noticed it when I first bought the truck. The switch panel on the drivers side will roll down the passenger side window and the driver side rear window. Sometimes it will randomly stop working after rolling one of...
Sorry for the late update, but I got it done! It really wasn't as bad as I thought, it was just the puller/installer kit that I rented wasn't that great. Brakes are working great now though! I'll try to get a technical write up put together tomorrow afternoon. Thank you all for your help, I...
Okay, I've got the new pump in, but now I can't get the pulley to press in. The tightner part of the installer keeps popping off after a few turns.. It's probably something simple, but I'm stuck there
The vacuum pump instructions said no extra oil is needed. Do you have to pull the pulley before taking the vacuum pump off? I'm assuming you do because the bolts look like their gonna hit the pulley before they come all the way out
Thanks for the advice! I've never done a technical write up before, but I'm willing to give it a shot! Is the oil that goes in it just called STP oil treatment?
Hey all, I've got an issue with the brakes that is causing a very hard pedal and slow stopping time. It takes quite a bit of effort to stop the truck. I've done a little bit of research and come up with a bad vacuum pump. I went and picked up a pump yesterday, but I can't for the life of me find...
Update- I got the oil cooler seals replaced, both of the of the bigger seals were cracked. I tried to sneak it out without jacking the block up but that didn't work. Once I loosened the mounts and got the block raised up a little it came right out. Got the old seals off and cleaned everything up...
I appreciate the response. If the cooler itself is bad, I'll definitely buy that oil cooler bundle that FarmerFrank has. Thank you guys for all your advice. This forum really is great for trouble shooting and general advice.
I'm not still driving it like that, the only time I drove it was after I discovered the leak and I only went up my street a little bit then back to see if the leak got any worse.
Unfortunately I'm back with another issue that just popped up. I have a pretty serious oil leak that I think is coming from the oil cooler, but I wanted to be sure that's what it is. The truck sat for about 6 days without being run at all while I was on vacation. I got back and tried to fire it...
