Thanks guys. Guess I will wait a while to change out the tranny. It is still shifting good. The only notchy part is going from 2 to 3 when cold, but it has allways done that, and from what I read, it is pretty common.
Muddy.....I would have loved to have that job in Boise. Much better...
Hey guys.......We just moved from Phoenix to Topeka. Does anyone know a good dealer in the Topeka area? I definately need an oil change, and am wondering about the NV5600 and diffs.
The truck has 10K miles on it. 2,500 of those 10,000 have been pulling a 16,800 lb. fiver. It still has the...
Thanks for the tips guys. I don't do any off-roading with the dually. We have a smaller Toyota Tundra for that kind of fun. The only off-roading I see in the future for the dually is if I slide into a ditch in a snowstorm. You may ask why I have 4wd if that is the case. With our jobs, we...
Hi Muddy. Thanks for thinking of me again. I wound up getting the diamondplate flaps from the dealer, and they look pretty good with my bedrails.
Unfortunately, it may be a while before we get back to lovely Idaho. We wound up taking a job for my wife in Topeka, KS. I have a line on a...
Hi guys. I don't post much, but I read this site every day. It is time for mudflaps, and wanted to run some things by y'all.
I had been thinking I wanted heavy rubber mudflaps with the Cummins logo on them, but today I saw a set of diamond plate mudflaps. I got to thinking they might look...
I just ordered some new dipricols from Geno's that are supposed to have the white faces and green lit numbers to match the '03 dash gauges. Should be here later this week.
Thanks Muddy and Big K.
Muddy...I am going to have to cancel my spot for the gauge install at the BOMB party in March. I am not going to be able to get that weekend off. Thought I would let you know so you could slide someone elses truck into my spot.
Steve
How important is it to have? I tow a 16k fifth wheel about every other month, sometimes long distances. I am planning on installing a pyro (pre-turbo) and a boost in a 2 guage pillar pod. Should I go ahead with a 3 guage pod and include the rear diff temp guage now? What temp range does the...
Thanks Muddy.....I have again changed my plans about what I want. I have been talking to several people on the phone, and have decided to go with 1 pre pyro, and boost in a 2 gauge pillar mount. I have decided to go the KISS (Keep It Simple, Stupid) route for now and save some money for other...
Today she called me at work and said "I've been thinking...as long as we are getting guages for the Dodge, why don't we go ahead and put on an exhaust brake also?"  :Thumbs Up  :hail
Thanks TnLRacing.....I saw his post there and really like what I saw. I have sorta changed my original plan though. Now I am thinking Fuel Pressure, Boost, and EGT with both pre and post sensors.
No offense taken CHarlan. All opinions are welcome. I am trying to go for the stock look, nothing too radical. So far, Dipricols are the closest match I can find.
Getting ready to order gauges for my 03, and am looking at the Dipricols in Geno's catalog. They claim to match the stock gauges, even when lit at night. What do you guys think of them? Are there any other gauges that match the stock gauges in the 03s? I am thinking about 2 EGTs, (1 pre and...
Nail Bender...Thanks for the info. Why can't I run the same gauge pre as post? Doesn't the pre gauge run up to 1500? Why wouldn't this also work for post? I want pre and post because the trailer I intend to pull weighs 16K, or there abouts. We need to be able to run coast to coast, but...
