2001 duramax has quitting when moisture is present including fog and mist
Don't know anything about duramax, but my 2000 superduty used to act up in wet conditions, and no codes were present. Changed cps and it has not died since! Mine would cut out going down the road (loose all power) and start back up on its own after a few seconds! Hope that helps some!- motox tech

Attempting to resurrect an old IDI. HELP PLEASE!
Was going to suggest pushing compressed air (carefully) into fill hole on fuel tank! I had same starting issues on a new build 6.9 about 13 years ago and was stumped as well! Just realized( i was born backwards, .... But I'm coming around!) my 2000 super duty has the dual din with cassette player! I suppose a guy could just listen to them in there! 79jasper spot on with tensioner! Thanx! The only problem with that was I had to change entire bracket with vac pump, ps pump and ac! The two tensioners are specific to their own bracket! Why do they make their own lives so complicated at the ford factory!- motox tech

Found a belt at carquest that is supposedly 114 inches, but had to be ordered, and then they said none of the suppliers had one! Wish I had a Napa here!- motox tech

Problem is I have one dry rot cracked belt that fits, and two new ones that are to short! Running crappy one now but would like to use one of the two new ones, but can't pin point what the difference is! And won't fit! I'll switch out some stuff tomorrow! Tensioner seems to measure the same center to center! No difference that I can tell unless one will release farther than the other!- motox tech

Just swapped a 93 motor into my 92 f250! For some reason the serp belt is shorter on the 92??? I have measured the pulleys, and they both have all the same features, and have even swapped out idler pulleys! Can't figgure out why they are different!
